Elisa Eesti, part of the Finnish Elisa Oyj group and the second largest provider of cable and network-based entertainment services in Estonia, is the lead operator to run its TV service on Zattoo Orchestrate in full production. It is a groundbreaking deployment of Zattoo’s Modular portfolio, bringing the Orchestrate management layer into live operation behind a full pay-TV service.
With this win, the leading streaming and TV services provider adds Elisa Eesti to its growing base of live Zattoo Modular customers. Elisa Eesti now modernises its TV stack layer by layer, instead of replacing it all at once.
Zattoo Orchestrate manages the product configuration and business logic of a TV service, giving the operator a single management layer across content, subscribers and commercial models. It comprises a backend API for the operator’s own systems, a frontend API that the operator’s apps run on, and the Console — the back office where the operator’s teams configure content and products, brands and packages, and the editorial pages that make up the app experience. It is built for operators that want to leave a legacy platform behind without giving up control.
Zattoo Orchestrate sits on top of the operator's infrastructure and underneath the operator's apps: Elisa Eesti keeps its own apps, its own devices and its own infrastructure, and modernises the platform layer in between. In the Zattoo Modular portfolio, Zattoo Orchestrate is one of three modules, alongside Zattoo Ingest for content acquisition and preparation and Zattoo Stream for delivery and playback with ad insertion. Operators can take a single module or combine them; Elisa Eesti uses Zattoo Orchestrate.
The rollout ran platform by platform from the end of July 2026, with set-top boxes following through August. It covers the full Elisa Elamus TV offer — live TV, the TV guide, replay and recordings, and video on demand — across set-top boxes, smart TVs, web and mobile. Zattoo Orchestrate runs in Elisa’s own data centre in Estonia, which is also where customer data stays. For viewers, nothing changes: they keep the Elisa Elamus service, the operator's apps and their existing account.

Elisa Eesti, Teil der finnischen Elisa-Oyj-Gruppe und zweitgrößter Anbieter von kabel- und netzbasierten Entertainment-Diensten in Estland, ist der erste Betreiber, der seinen TV-Dienst vollständig produktiv auf Zattoo Orchestrate betreibt. Es ist ein wegweisender Einsatz des Modular-Portfolios von Zattoo: Der Management-Layer Orchestrate geht damit hinter einem vollständigen Pay-TV-Dienst in den Live-Betrieb.
Mit diesem Gewinn erweitert der führende Anbieter von Streaming- und TV-Diensten seine wachsende Basis an Kunden, die Zattoo Modular bereits live einsetzen, um Elisa Eesti. Der Betreiber modernisiert seinen TV-Stack nun Schicht für Schicht, statt alles auf einmal zu ersetzen.
Zattoo Orchestrate steuert Produktkonfiguration und Geschäftslogik eines TV-Dienstes und gibt dem Betreiber einen einzigen Management-Layer über Inhalte, Abonnenten und Erlösmodelle hinweg. Dazu gehören eine Backend-API für die eigenen Systeme des Betreibers, eine Frontend-API, auf der dessen Apps laufen, und die Console – das Back Office, in dem die Teams des Betreibers Inhalte und Produkte, Marken und Pakete sowie die redaktionellen Seiten konfigurieren, aus denen das App-Erlebnis besteht. Orchestrate richtet sich an Betreiber, die eine Legacy-Plattform hinter sich lassen wollen, ohne die Kontrolle abzugeben.
Zattoo Orchestrate liegt sozusagen über der Infrastruktur des Betreibers und unter seinen Apps: Elisa Eesti behält diese, ebenso wie andere Anwendungen oder Infrastruktur und modernisiert den Plattform-Layer dazwischen. Im Zattoo-Modular-Portfolio ist Zattoo Orchestrate eines von drei Modulen, neben Zattoo Ingest für die Beschaffung und Aufbereitung von Inhalten und Zattoo Stream für Distribution und Playback inklusive Ad Insertion. Betreiber können ein einzelnes Modul nutzen oder mehrere kombinieren; Elisa Eesti setzt Zattoo Orchestrate ein.
Der Rollout lief ab Ende Juli 2026 Plattform für Plattform, die Set-Top-Boxen folgten im Laufe des August. Er umfasst das komplette TV-Angebot von Elisa Elamus – Live-TV, TV-Guide, Replay und Aufnahmen sowie Video-on-Demand – auf Set-Top-Boxen, Smart-TVs, im Web und mobil. Zattoo Orchestrate läuft im eigenen Rechenzentrum von Elisa in Estland, wo auch die Kundendaten bleiben. Für die Zuschauer ändert sich nichts: Sie behalten den Dienst Elisa Elamus, die Apps des Betreibers und ihren bestehenden Account.
